POLICIES & SAFETY INFORMATION
Maine Outdoor Kids' primary goal is to provide a safe environment for children to play, socialize and express themselves, especially as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. All of our programs take place outside in small groups not exceeding more than 12 children.
We are staying up-to-date on state and district-wide guidelines and we ask that you follow the same guidelines when participating in this program.
Our COVID-19 safety requirements and expectations as follows:
-
Prior to arrival → check the symptoms of your child as if they are being sent to school. Please do not send your child to the program that day if they are experiencing one major symptom (sore throat, fever, cough) or two minor symptoms (runny nose, loss of taste/smell, aches) of COVID-19.
-
All activities will be done outside to limit the spread of COVID-19.
-
At this time masks are not required of participants.
-
If someone else in your household is considered a close contact, your child may remain in the program. If that family member develops symptoms or tests positive, we ask that your child remain at home as they are a close contact.
-
If your child is considered a close contact we ask that you pull them from the program and quarantine per CDC guidelines.
-
In the event that your child develops symptoms and tests positive for COVID-19, we require you to pull them from the program and notify us.
-
Should the above situation occur and there was the possibility of transmission at one of our programs, we would notify all other parents immediately.
We understand that this is an exceptionally unique situation and want to remain fully transparent as we move forward and navigate these times together. Our goal is to maintain the safety of everyone involved while also providing your children with an enriching and engaging outdoor experience and social outlet. Please know that we are available to discuss any questions or concerns as they may come up.
