Wednesdays in Payson - Spring
OAES 2nd-4th graders
Details:
Where unstructured play meets outdoor adventure education. Where: Payson Park, Portland Time: 1:10-5:00pm Session Dates: March 19th - June 11th (12 weeks) Best For: 2nd-4th graders Maximum Group Size: 10 For After-School Programs, our instructors meet the group at school dismissal time and walk together to basecamp. We see this as a time for kids to decompress from the day, catch up with friends and to reset before a fun afternoon outside! Using play and fun as the lens for all development, at any age, provides balance and space for growth - emotionally, socially & creatively. It is our goal to provide a safe space to balance out the structure of the school day with enriching exploration, movement, choices and play in a supportive environment. Payson programs may include exploring the nearby woods, playground, waterfront, outdoor education, games, arts & crafts. All MOK programming utilizes public parks, trail systems and green spaces to help connect children and their families to accessible outdoor spaces. We feel that this approach allows both staff and families involved to learn about and appreciate outdoor recreation opportunities right here in Southern Maine. Spring Session will run every Wednesday from March 19th through June 11th (12 WEEKS). No school or MOK April 23rd for spring break. Our after-school programs are entirely outside, rain or shine. We will communicate directly with you and provide a packing list for each season with the appropriate clothing and gear. Unless there is particularly bad weather in the forecast where there's a safety concern, we may end early or cancel. We will give you ~24hrs notice if this occurs. In the event school is cancelled for weather, there is no MOK and no refunds given. A $100 deposit is required upon registration. The remaining tuition balance is due by February 15th.
