Winter Break Pop-Up Camp
The magic twist of hiking the trails and exploring the Children's Museum
Details:
Kick off Winter Break and join Effie and Bella in the fresh air exploring the trails at Thompsons Point! Date: Friday, December 27th Time: 9:00AM-3:00PM Where: Thompsons Point, Portland Best For: Grades K-2nd Maximum Group Size: 10 The Thompsons Point trail runs along Fore River and is the perfect place to blend an exciting morning at the Children's Museum with hiking and playing outdoors in the afternoon. Spend the day learning, discovering, and making memories with friends! We are frequently asked, "You spend the day outside in the winter??" Yes!! With the right gear and attitude from adults, being outside in the winter is incredibly fun. Kids who regularly spend time outside in the cold learn to simply exist in all conditions without pre-conceived notions of "good" and "bad" weather. There are real, tangible benefits to being out in colder weather: ⭐️ Physical Development ⭐ Immune Health ⭐ Boost Creativity ⭐ Sunlight ⭐ Outdoor Skills All details including a required gear list will be sent out the week before. The nature of 100% outdoor programs is that some circumstances are out of our control. While we do our best to plan diligently and prepare you with a list of appropriate gear, we make real-time decisions based on weather reports and risk assessment. In the event of severe weather in which we cannot safely be outside, this program will be cancelled at least 24hrs prior and refunds issued. There is no make-up date.
