This one’s for riders who are ready for more—more time on trail, more confidence, and more opportunity to grow alongside friends. Designed for novice to intermediate riders (and those continuing to progress), this weekly series focuses on building endurance, developing skills, and becoming more comfortable across a variety of terrain. Each session is a guided group ride where coaching is woven into the experience—helping riders make small adjustments that lead to steady, meaningful progress over time. Where: Evergreen, Portland School Pickup: Longfellow Session Dates: 5/8-6/12 (6 weeks) Best For: Riders in grades 3–5 Pickup Time: 4pm Group Size: Max 8 riders (1:4 ratio) What to Expect: Each week, riders head out for progression-based rides that build both physical endurance and on-bike skills. Along the way, we introduce and reinforce key elements like body positioning, braking, shifting, climbing, and descending—always with an emphasis on awareness, control, and flow. Rides are active and engaging, with plenty of time spent moving, exploring, and learning through experience. Curious if this is the right fit? This group is best suited for riders who: - Have basic riding skills and are comfortable pedaling on their own - Have some experience riding on a variety of surfaces including trail and gravel - Can ride for extended periods with short breaks - Are open to trying new things and building confidence on the trail Riders should come with a well-tuned bike suitable for trail riding (multiple gears and hand brakes), along with the stamina for longer, active ride sessions. Plan to pack snacks and water. Group size is intentionally limited to ensure each rider receives individualized feedback, while still benefiting from the energy and motivation of riding together. Questions about fit? Reach out anytime—we’re happy to help place your rider in the right group.
