Pump track! Group rides! Skills drills! Yay bikes! This fun, high-energy clinic introduces young riders to the fundamentals of mountain biking while building confidence, control, and a love for riding. WHAT THIS CLINIC INCLUDES: - 2 hours of guided instruction with a certified MTB coaches - Small group setting for individualized support and feedback - A mix of skills drills, games, and on-trail riding - Introduction to foundational mountain bike skills - Building body awareness so riding is safe and fun - Practice on the pump track and trails to apply new skills - Bike check + simple safety talk to understand their bike and trail readiness - Skill development in: mounting/dismounting their bike, body positioning, balance & stability, braking, shifting This clinic focuses on creating a strong foundation through play, repetition, and positive coaching. THIS CLINIC IS FOR YOUR RIDER IF: - They are ages 8-10 and excited about riding bikes - They are comfortable on their bike, paved trails and roads - They are newer to trails or still building basic control and skills - They’ve never had formal instruction or are ready to progress foundational skills - They enjoy learning through movement, games, and group riding For safety, riders should have the stamina to be outside for 2 hours, pedal for up to 40 minutes and have a basic understanding of their bike. To ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging experience, participation is capped at 8 riders with a 1:4 coach ratio. REQUIRED GEAR: A well-tuned bike (with hand brakes and 3+ gears), helmet, lunch and water (bottle or hydration pack). More details will be shared as the date approaches.
