Date: Sunday, May 19th Time: 9:00-11:00AM Where: Gorham (Weeks/Moodys) Trails Best For: 6-7 year olds Maximum Group Size: 8 (1:4) Join us for this Fundamental Skills Clinic at Gorham Trails (Weeks/Moodys) on Sunday, May 19th. We will work on building body awareness so rides are safe and FUN and practice the fundamentals of trail riding - the foundation behind ALL mountain biking. Learn the fundamentals of trail riding through technical skill-building: body positioning, stability & balance, braking, shifting, cadence & scanning the trail. We will also discuss trail etiquette, basic bike function & the how-to's of getting our bike ready for the trails. We utilize skills drills & demos, followed by a ride on the trail to apply what we've learned. This clinic is appropriate for riders who are newer to trails, those still working on control & basic skills, anyone who has never had formal instruction or kids who are progressing their foundational skills. All of our clinics are held in small groups to make sure that everyone is met where they are skill-wise and given plenty of one-on-one instruction to build their confidence on two wheels. Our PMBIA Certified MTB Coach is ready to make sure you leave feeling more confident on your bike. Open to all levels. For safety purposes, your child must have some basic bike experience including the ability to ride up to 40 minutes at a time and be familiar with their bike. Required gear: well-tuned bike (hand brakes, 3+ speeds), helmet & either bottle cage or hydration vest. All other details provided once the date gets closer.
