Pump track! Rollers! Jumps! Yay bikes! This fun, high-energy clinic is designed for intermediate riders ready to build speed, flow, and confidence on the pump track—and begin progressing into small jumps. Date: Saturday, July 11th Time: 1:30-3:30PM Location: Weeks/Moody’s Trails, Gorham Ages: 9-12 years old Level: Intermediate (see requirements below) Max Group Size: 8 riders (1:4 coach ratio) WHAT THIS CLINIC INCLUDES: - 2+ hours of guided instruction with a certified MTB coach - Small group setting for individualized support and feedback - A mix of skills drills, repetition, and on-feature practice - Focus on pump track riding and foundational jump mechanics - Building body awareness for control, timing, and flow - Practice on rollers and small features to apply new skills - Bike check + safety talk to support trail and feature readiness - Skill development in: dynamic body positioning, pressure control, timing, pumping, and intro to wheel lifts + small jumps This clinic focuses on developing strong foundational mechanics through repetition, movement, and positive coaching—helping riders generate speed without pedaling and safely begin to get their wheels off the ground. THIS CLINIC IS FOR YOUR RIDER IF: - They are comfortable riding trails and varied terrain - They have a solid foundation of basic skills (braking, shifting, balance) - They are ready to build speed, flow, and bike control - They are curious about pump tracks, rollers, and learning to jump - They enjoy a challenge and learning through movement and repetition For safety, riders should have the stamina to be active for 2+ hours, ride for extended periods, and maintain focus while practicing skills. To ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging experience, participation is capped at 8 riders with a 1:4 coach ratio. REQUIRED GEAR: A well-tuned mountain bike, helmet, snack, and water (bottle or hydration pack). More details will be shared as the date approaches.
